One such covert operation went down like this:

What

A large-scale marketing and training initiatives for a brand-name telecommunications organisation.

Who for

A well known and respected marketing agency - we aren't able to divulge the client name, if we tell you we'd have to kill you! [seriously!]

How we roll

In this situation we worked as part of the agencies team, even adopting their email addresses. We also work for other agencies as a 'known' contractor and deal directly with the client as 'dreamm'. We offer a full service solution for agencies, we take the strain and stresses out of digital projects for you.

Brief

Working as 'the agency' we liaised with their client and internal teams to design, develop and deliver the commissioned project. One of the projects was a major 3-4-month campaign to communicate to employees its long-term vision and purpose, and strategic goals for 2008-09 as part of an ongoing 3 year campaign.

    The business aims of the project were to:
  • ensure that employees understand and are inspired and motivated by the organisation's long-term vision and purpose and its strategic goals for year 3 of its strategy.
  • allow employees to interact and engage with these components so they understand the role that their business unit, team and they as individuals need to play to achieve these strategic goals.
  • enable the organisation to measure employees' understanding of and engagement in its vision, purpose and strategy.

Deliverables

We delivered an online application that allowed the organisation to build a 'community' around this initiative. Employees were allowed to access content in a phased approach, and with each new revelation they were asked to interact with the system and each other. Employees were asked to use their mobile phones and upload MMS (text, video and/or images) to the online application, other users would then rate their effort and provide feedback. There were also video blogs posted by Directors of the organisation, and quizzes and formal assessments to complete.

The online application was able to track who visited the site (day, week, month), the total visits (day, week, month, department), the sections visited, who and what contributed and scores (employee, business unit).

The Bottom Line

We delivered a great project, within budget which enabled the agency to make a generous profit on the project, whilst exceeding their client's expectations. In fact, the project was a run-away success with the online application winning an award for communications in business.
